Hello, the new distro looks great but I've been unable to make a bootable thumb-drive using the dd command. Anyone else having a similar issue?

Hey, Glenn,
I haven't had this issue. What errors did you run into with the dd command? Or while booting? The drive could possibly be corrupt, check if it works with other ISO's.

@sheepy, No errors. It just won't boot from thumb-drive, as if nothings there and goes immediately to my existing grub screen. Tried multiple drives and upon both my HP desktop and my two Lenovo Lappy's. All legacy bios and secure boot turned off in both Lenovo laptops. So, I don't know... I've never had this problem arise before. I suppose I could try an app like unetbootin and let ya know how it goes. Thanks for your response

Any time, bud. I'm going to investigate it heavily when I get home.

It appears that the first uploaded file was not 100% integral. I have since replaced it with a new ISO that I tested on 2 usb drives and a DVD. Thanks for catching this so early, hope you have fun with the product.

Hi, some kind of same error grabbed the ISO , when tried to copy it to USB with unetbootin it stops at 55 % and stays there endlessly. tried 3 times on 3 different USB sticks but same error....so whats wrong? Have you tried installing it to the USB using the DD command instead? Or with usb-creator-gtk? Maybe even gnome-disks. According to Google, it seems like a lot of people have this problem with Unetbootin on Ubuntu. Also, make sure the file was downloaded correctly - check the MD5. It seems strange because I used it with Unetbootin and it worked for me. Also, make sure the boot flag is on the device, that may help. sudo mkfs.vfat /dev/sdb1 dd if=/path/to/file/pulpos.iso of=/dev/sdb1
